H&M
Ever since I moved to Virginia, I find myself shopping at H&M a lot more often. I don't know if its because my sizes are easier to find, more variety in the stores, my proximity to the malls, or a mixture of all three but my closet seems to have a lot more pieces from H&M these days.
Here are the two pieces I pickled up recently: (photo credits: hm.com)

I was on the look out for a basic sweater tunic that I could wear for the office and casual days so when I found this at H&M I could not pass it up. It even has the turtleneck/cowl neck that I love so much. An added plus is that it is so warm and easy to wash. It came in several colors and I wanted all of them but I thought it might be a little overkill so I decided to pick up the dark green since its such a nice fall/winter color and the cerise to add a pop of color during those cold winter days.
Kohl's
Another store that I find myself frequenting since the move is Kohls. Kohls has a lot of nice things at a very nice price. They may not carry brand name luxury labels like Gucci, LV, Chanel, etc., but their products are great quality, they have great variation in the products they carry, friendly associates, and their return policy is truly hassle free. I see Kohl's as a friendly mix between Target and Nordstrom.

The color block sweater is a modern twist to an old classic and it gives a little color variation to a work outfit as well.
The two cowl neck tunics are a little on the delicate side so I have to be careful when washing. I think the neck might be hand knit, but they are definitely worth the TLC. It can be worn as pictured, over the shoulders and off shoulder giving it lots of variety.
